I grew up in the hood—from Vanderveer in Flatbush and Winthrop in Brooklyn to Harlem, New York. One thing remains true: we all have a mind of our own. Even in environments shaped by different levels of challenge, we still carry the power to make better choices and shift the direction of our lives in any season.

I came across this car one morning while walking with a close friend during our daily coffee walks. We used that time with intention—walking uphill, setting the tone for the day, and speaking on how to move with clarity and productivity in her business. It wasn’t about distraction. It was about growth.

The car stood out to me because, even in its worn-down state, I could already see its potential. To rebuild, restore, and revamp anything requires unshakable faith—belief in what can be, even when it doesn’t yet reflect it.

That same faith lives in us. Through Christ, transformation is always possible.

This original painting includes the artist’s signature on both the front and back. The title and date of completion are also inscribed on the back of the artwork.
